significant role forests playas a renewable resource and in
maintaining our state's rich biological diversity.

Program Presented by: Jenny
Scullon
Jenny graduated from Michigan State
University in May 2000 with a bachelor of science degree in
zoology with a concentration in zoo and aquarium science. Along
with her degree she received a specialization in environmental
studies.
Jenny began her career with animals as a wildlife technician for
a local wildlife rehabilitation center. Her position gave her
the opportunity not only to work hands on with Michigan
wildlife, but also to educate the public on how to humanely
solve wildlife problems.
During her years as an undergraduate at MSU, Jenny studied the
behavior of African wildlife. Upon graduating she went to Kenya
to study animal behavior. She then returned to Michigan to
pursue her career working to protect the wildlife she has spent
her life learning about.
Her career with Michigan wildlife continued with Department of
Natural Resources in the wildlife disease lab were she worked as
a lab assistant on the Bovine Tuberculosis Project. Through the
DNR Jenny became aware of the Wildlife Encounters program at
MUCC.
An interest in environmental education and a background in the
field of wildlife biology have provided Jenny with the necessary
skills to work as a wildlife education specialist with MUCC's
Wildlife Encounters program.
