Presentation:  "Becoming a Better Birder" - Whether you’re a beginning birdwatcher or a “power birder,” this program is guaranteed to send your birding skills soaring. Back by popular demand (this was one of last year's most talked-about sessions), Dr. Greij’s fast-paced and informative program will reinforce and expand your birding knowledge and skills. Hear his advice on using binoculars, field guides and other helpful aids. Plus get useful tips on identifying birds by field marks, habitat and song. Dr. Greij uses beautiful slides and tapes to illustrate both the common and the rare bird groups.

Presentation:  "Why Birds Don’t Ask for Directions" - Ever get called a “birdbrain” and take offense? After seeing this program you might consider it a compliment! Birds perceive the world in many more ways than humans. Come hear how they instinctively “read” environmental cues such as the sun, the stars, even the earth’s magnetic field to find their way. And you’ll learn what role genetics and innate behaviors play in this fascinating behavioral puzzle.
