“Autumn is a magical time in
Michigan. Leaves paint brilliant colors across the landscape,
creating a collage of reds and yellows, greens and oranges. My
fascination with such bold color in nature has been my main
focus. That perfect moment when the morning sun peeps over the
horizon and casts an amber glow on the world, or a reflection in
a calm lake of green and yellow grasses, or a rising mist so
richly illuminated by dawn’s early light. To be an artist is to
see the world as no one else does. With photography, I can share
my vision. My hope is that everyone who enjoys my imagery will
gain a greater appreciation for nature and all its beauty. After
all, an image of nature is a reflection of the soul.”
Kimberli Bindschatel lives in
Traverse City, Michigan with her husband, Ken, and their dogs,
Kloe and Tucker. She owns Whisper in the Woods, Michigan’s
Nature Journal and specializes in nature and wildlife
